This works very similar to Rocket Math, which my 1st and 2nd graders are doing in school. I tried it out on them, and they love it. If I had one suggestion, it would be to specify numbers to work on. So my daughter could get groups of problems working on 7s to 9s and leave out the lower numbers that she already knows well. But thats probably more complicated than this needs to be. Its a great way to help kids sharpen their math skills, especially at the earlier grades. Easily worth a buck.
This is a great little app, which I wouldve loved to have as a kid. I picked it up as a compliment to those "Brain Challenge" apps, which unfortunately are rather pricey. It definitely gives your synapses a workout, as it has Easy-Medium-Hard levels. We wont even talk of this app for kids -- get it now, dont hesitate!
If I had one wish, given that the music, overall UI, and "game play" seem above reproach, is that Drantos (I presume the developers) take out their name from the app icon. It would transform it from a great app icon, to one of the best Ive seen.
I thought i was good at math, but this game is really hard, and finat the same time
